My first blog post!

Ever since I was a little boy I loved to read and learn new things.   This was instilled in by my Grandmother Emma Ramos.    My parents also picked up on this and bought me a full set of the Encyclopedia Americana.   I remember scouring through it even before I could read.  I was only 5 years old then.  I remember constantly going to the section that had pictures.   My favorite sections where dogs, cats, cows, spiders and snakes!

Then I remember how excited I was when Encarta came out on CD-ROM.  Wow this is the future of encyclopedia’s I thought.   Even though Encarta didn’t have 1/8 of the content that real book encyclopedia’s had.   Little did I know that Wikipedia would blow it completely away.

I love Wikisurfing even this article regarding the History of Wikipedia I find fascinating.

FYI- I completely forgot about Encarta until now
